HMSA and Navvis CEOs Discuss the Impact of Payment Transformation in Hawaii
Michael Stollar, President and CEO at HMSA, and Mike Farris, Chairman and CEO at Navvis, recently discussed the transformation work that these two organizations are doing in Hawaii to impact health and healthcare across the state.
Almost all of HMSA’s primary care physicians are now participating in a value-based payment model, the first statewide implementation of value-based payments for primary care. Additionally, peer-review results from this program were recently published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
In this brief discussion, these two healthcare leaders talk about the JAMA study, the innovation and learnings in Hawaii, milestones that were achieved, and what’s next now that payment transformation is a reality in Hawaii.
